"Helping With Compassion & Dignity"

    We are a 501(c) (3) organization assisting local families since 1989, working with many other charities in helping the citizens of Collin County. It is our mission “When times of hardship or crisis hit the citizens of Collin County, Plano Community Charity (PCC) cares. We will help with emergency financial assistance and in-kind donations. With genuine compassion, we are able to lend a hand while enabling clients to retain their dignity.”

    Undaunted, PCC is an organization committed to excellence, with a clear vision and a passion for delivering outstanding results. PCC has helped to demonstrate that community outreach programs which are developed and managed by a community, for a community make a striking impact. The challenge at this stage is to seize the opportunity to take the risk to realize an innovative, new, rewarding and productive future.

Our Resale Shop:
WE accept donations of a wide range of gently used items for our resale shop. Thanks to corporations, such as Fossil, Home Depot, Guess Stores, and individuals from Plano and the surrounding cities, our resale shop lacks for nothing. Because of the generosity others display, the shop provides quality affordable furniture, household items, clothing, shoes and much, much more!

Our Services to Local Families:
The proceeds from our resale shop go to families in need during times of crisis. One time per year, a family can apply for assistance with Plano Community Charity for financial and other types of help. Here are a few examples:

Emergency Financial Assistance:

Utility bills
Rent
Medical Assistance for the uninsured

Clothing:

For parents and children leaving shelters who are trying to start over
For homeless people who are trying to find work

In the past year we have provided 9,533 community service hours

We outfitted 390 children for school

Our Board Members are active volunteers, spending at least 20

hours per week in the resale shop

Our Executive Director volunteers a full 40 hours per week

Various agencies in Collin County refer clients to our organization

We serve clients who cannot recieve assistance from other sources

Plano Community Charity clients consist of families in true crisis

These are not clients who regularly use the system

We are always looking for new volunteers.
